Who Do You Say That I Am?

Even our faith is from Him:

Eph. 2: 8

Faith is a gift of God

Heb. 12:2
2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;

He starts our faith and finishes it

Rom. 12:3
"...[B]ut rather think of yourself with sober judgment,
in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you"

Each one of us is given a measure of faith, by God
we don't have the ability to believe in God
without this faith, from Him

Acts 13:48
"And as many who were appointed unto eternal life believed"

One here did not believe followed by appointment,
he was appointed, that is the only reason why he believed

Here is free will:

If one can hear the verbal command of Jesus,
deny this will take place, and the created will,
in fact, do differently than the Creator dictates,
by the very free will of mankind...

But yet, as we see in the following passage,
Peter did exactly as God had stated
his free will, his desire
amounted to absolutely nothing

Jesus did not tell Peter He knew he was going
to deny Him,
He spoke, He dictated the fact that
from before the foundations of the world,
Peter would deny Him

Jesus, the Son of Man was the sacrifice for our sins,
from the foundation of the world,
not because God knew Adam would sin,
but as Peter, was directed by the spoken Word of God,
all for the glory of God

Rev. 13:8

Those who may get angry at this, are the ones,
like myself that cannot explain it
Finite beings, don't have the authority to demand wisdom,
we are here for His glory

Our everything,
our faith, our eternal destiny, our faults, our gifts,
every second of every day;
God penned it all for His glory

Our action or inaction will not determine
the glory of God,
His spoken Word already did!

If God even loves and hates someone, before he is born,
before they do anything, good or bad;
one cannot explain free will!

Romans 9:11-13
11Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order
that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12not by works but by him who calls
she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”d
13Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”e

--So you mean to tell me that these two babies were not yet born,
they had not done any good, or anything bad,
and God loved one of them and HATED the other?

Scripture just did

It is my heart, that the generation God has chosen to be His Remnant
will be those who have
absolute reliance on Jesus Christ,
there is no victory in the flesh until we see Jesus
Those who believe they can be better tomorrow than they were today,
do not need a Savior, they just need an eternity of getting better

You may believe you are now a bit more pleasing to God because
you finally 'conquered' that one sin
but you are still a sinner, you didn't fix anything
and without Jesus you are hopeless

There is NO GOOD in me, I perform NO GOOD THING
Everything I could do is filthy rags, everything you 'do' is filthy

Once you have seen the voice of God,
you finally realize just how vile and unworthy you are

Eph 2:9
If you believed in God by your dictate, you would have something of which to boast

"God has made all things for Himself, Yes even the wicked for the day of doom"

John 13:27
"So Jesus told him, "What you are about to do, do quickly."

Even Judas, this was prophesied, this was spoken;
this was done just as God had dictated
God did not change His plans to accommodate Judas' betrayal

Please understand:
this is not to create strife within the Body,
this is to put this Unexplainable, Powerful, Magnificent Being that is Jesus Christ
in the proper light!

End Times are indeed upon us,
His will, His Word will be done

Who Do you say that I am?

The only question that matters

  1. Michael- By my free will...I vehemently disagree that we have no free will. Just is not possible....and I am not the one angry at all about this topic...but no doubt I was on your mind while you were typing it. Sure, God knows our path from the foundation of the world that we will take ...but it is our free will that decides which way to go at each fork in our life. My Bible would look like Swiss cheese if I cut out scriptures clearly showing we choose our path.

God bless you and I hope I can say the right words someday to change your way of thinking.

  3. Stan,

Notice you penned your comment at the very time of 1158, which is exactly my name in English Gematria. Maybe, take this as a sign that God has spoken to me!

Why must we be angered by Scripture? It is Scripture!
